Kindergarten Sign-up

Dear Hanawalt Families,

Kindergarten Sign-Up is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on March 11. Non-ELL and ELL (English Language Learner) families who have a current sibling at Hanawalt, or who attended a DMPS Preschool, are able to do Kindergarten Sign-Up at their address-assigned building. Anyone else must do Kindergarten Sign-Up at the Welcome Center by contacting their office at (515) 242-7371 or (515) 242-7233. A child must be five years old on or before September 15, 2015 in order to enroll in Kindergarten.

When arriving for Kindergarten Sign-Up please bring the following:

Verification of birth date (Either a birth certificate, baptism certificate or passport)
Child’s immunization record (including Kindergarten shots before school starts)
Photo ID; two documents stating established residency (e.g. lease agreement, utility bill, rental agreement or mortgage statement)
