The next PTA Meeting is Tuesday, November 8th. Executive Board will meet from 6:00-6:30. The regular meeting will start at 6:30.

  Daylight saving time  will end at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. So if you’re staying in, you’ll want to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night, Nov. 5.

Each Tuesday is Blue Tuesday at Hanawalt Elementary. Students are encouraged to wear their spirit wear or blue to show their school pride. Students in Mrs. Miller’s 1st Grade are participating in the Global Read Aloud. Students will be reading a variety of books from the author Lauren Castillo. Hanawalt will be having our Fall Conferences the week of October 10 – October 14. We look forward to collaborating with you on your child’s progress.

A big shout out and thank you to the PTA for our new Hanawalt Spirit Wear. We certainly will be encouraged to live our mission sporting our new shirts.

It was a beautiful day for kickball. Mr. Gillaspey’s 5th graders won the big match but our teacher team represented the staff well. Fun was had by all. Most of all we raised close to $5,000 for our school’s technology goals. Thank you to our community for supporting us.
