Hanawalt’s Read-a-thon is on!

It’s time for a Read-A-Thon! This Read-A-Thon will be the first major PTA fundraiser for the 2018-2019 school year. Students will set a reading goal, gather sponsors, read during the month of November prior to Thanksgiving Break and raise money for our school’s Media Center! Gusto Pizza will be sponsoring our read-a-thon and will help by providing some prizes.

Our goal for our Media Center is to spruce up our book collection with new and exciting titles for all reading levels, both fiction and non-fiction, to get some flexible furniture to make it a more comfortable learning space and to purchase some new learning materials to help our beginning readers. We have some great things planned for this Read-a-Thon, so be looking for ways to support the it and your child.  It’s going to be EXCITING!!
