Grand Avenue Bridge

A reminder that the Grand Avenue (at 63rd St.) bridge over Walnut Creek will be closed on March 25th through mid-September.  The official signed detour route will use 63rd St., University Ave., and 56th St. with a truck detour route being signed along 42nd St. and University.   Additional travel time(s) may be required when dropping off and picking up students. The city will be monitoring detour routes and the police department will be conducting additional patrols of the area. In addition, through collaboration with Ben Cole, City Engineer (BMCole@dmgov.org), we have accessed an off-duty yet uniformed police officer to help with traffic and safety around Hanawalt.
