The Annual “Hanawalk”

The annual Healthiest State Initiative Walk took place today on October 4th.  Hanawalt celebrated this by participating in the “Hanawalk.”  The walk consisted of over a mile and took students and teachers around the block starting on Robertson to 51st street.  The walk then continued past Merrill Middle School on Grand turning left on 56th, finally arriving back at Hanawalt.  Many neighborhood members cheered the students on their way to completing the walk.  It was a great way to celebrate being healthy by getting out to walk.
